Several People Feared Injured in Thika Superhighway PSV Accident

Several people are feared injured following a collision between a PSV bus and a small private car along Thika Superhighway.

The accident occurred on the afternoon of Friday, November 8, with the PSV bus overturning onto its side, while a blue Honda Fit was severely damaged on its passenger side.

Images and videos shared with Kenyans.co.ke show that the incident took place near the GSU headquarters, causing a major traffic jam as the overturned bus blocked the road.

Bystanders quickly rushed to the scene to help evacuate passengers from the toppled bus, using the windows as the only accessible escape route.

The blue Honda Fit was pushed to the far right side of the highway, suggesting that both vehicles were heading in the same direction before the crash. One video shows a woman struggling to get up, likely due to serious injuries sustained in the accident.

While no fatalities have been reported, several passengers were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

Officers from the nearby GSU headquarters arrived at the scene shortly after the accident, working to disperse the crowd and manage the traffic that had built up along the busy highway.
