Mzalendo Trust, a parliamentary monitoring organization, indicated that these MPs failed to engage in discussions on critical national issues such as taxation, housing, healthcare, and finance laws. This lack of participation undermines their primary role as representatives of the people.

Makadara MP George Aladwa, elected under the ODM party, was also listed among the least vocal lawmakers. Interestingly, some of these MPs maintain close ties with influential political figures. Sudi, for example, is a known ally of President William Ruto, while Aladwa is associated with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The report also pointed out that these MPs were notably absent during debates on controversial issues, such as the Finance Bill 2024. However, they attended voting sessions, aligning their votes with the preferences of the Executive.

Despite their silence, these MPs actively participated in key votes, including the impeachment proceedings against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and ex-Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi.
Conversely, MPs Wilberforce Oundo (Funyula), Beatrice Elachi (Dagoretti North), James Nyikal (Seme), Makali Mulu (Kitui Central), and Adan Wehliye (Eldas) were recognized for their consistent contributions to parliamentary debates.
