LSK President Faith Odhiambo has called for investigations into the extensive shooting incident in Githurai 45 on Tuesday night. She urged the international community to independently investigate the matter.

Reports suggest that military presence was observed around Githurai as early as 6 p.m. following protests, prompting caution among Kenyans online. The community endured mass shootings, though details on casualties remain undisclosed.

The motives behind these killings remain unclear and undisclosed to the public. However, the Law Society of Kenya has emphasized the need for independent international investigations into what they termed the ‘Githurai massacre’.

“Is Githurai a protected zone? Should the public refrain from residing there?” questioned LSK President Faith Adhiambo.

The LSK has demanded accountability for the incident and seeks clarity on the circumstances leading to these tragic events.

Additionally, in Nairobi CBD, near Parliament, at least five protestors were reportedly shot dead yesterday. Witnesses saw bodies lying unassisted, while others were futilely rushed for medical attention. A group of protestors mourned one victim draped in Kenya’s flag, honoring him as a hero while singing the national anthem.
