Comedian-turned-activist Eric Omondi is actively engaged in aiding Kenyans affected by floods through his ‘Sisi Kwa Sisi’ initiative.
Omondi has unveiled plans to build a modern-day ‘Noah’s Ark’ as part of his endeavors to tackle the crisis. Speaking with Silva Kido, he stressed the importance of proactive measures, expressing doubts about government intervention.
“We’re launching a project dubbed Noah’s Ark, rallying skilled carpenters to join forces within a week. Our goal is to prepare for any calamity as relying on the government isn’t sufficient; we must take matters into our own hands,” he explained.

Omondi expanded on the initiative on Instagram, revealing that his motorized ‘Sisi Kwa Sisi’ ark would reach even the remotest parts of Kenya to deliver aid, including food, clothing, and medicine.
Recently, Omondi journeyed to the Athi River area by boat, documenting his efforts to rescue people stranded in flooded homes.
“Families are marooned on rooftops, and time is critical… Just this morning, from 8:30 am to 11 am, we rescued 34 individuals, but there are still hundreds in distress, including children, facing the imminent threat of disaster!
Last night, we saved a woman and her three children in Ruiru’s OJ region. Our priorities are clear,” he shared on Instagram.
