Drama started when TikToker Obidan went live and called Chira’s grandmother to clarify rumours surrounding her grandson’s cash that was raised for his funeral. The elderly grandmother accused Baba Talisha and his alleged wife, Brenda Wanjiku, of controlling everything. She claimed her phone was taken away by Wanjiku and returned to her a few days after Chira’s burial. Read more:

Even my phone was taken away. People were calling me to send me something, but they couldn’t reach me; it seemed like I was disrespecting them,” she said.

She added:
“Wanjiku is the one who was withdrawing money.” The granny admitted to having bought a house worth KSh 3.5 million.
“Nilikuwa nimebakisha balance ya KSh 1 million na nilikuwa nipeleke Friday but nikagonjeka. Wanjiku ndiye alikuwa akiwithdraw pesa. Aliniusi (I had a balance of KSh 1 million remaining to send on Friday, but I fell ill. Wanjiku was the one withdrawing the money, and she insulted me,” she shared.
She accused Baba T’s alleged wife of threatening to freeze the cash, claiming it was public money. She said she had rent arrears of KSh 140,000 which Baba T paid.
“Aliniambia anaweza toa. Mumwambie nikipata hakuna pesa kwa bank account, uwaambie watatoa juu ni hao wanajua pin zangu zote za M-Pesa na bank (She told me she can withdraw. Tell them if I don’t get money in the bank account, they will give me because they know all my M-Pesa and bank PINs),” she added.
