A man has shared that his girlfriend is expecting a child, but instead of joy, this revelation has stirred up tension in their relationship.
The source of conflict lies in his suggestion to conduct a DNA test to confirm the paternity of the baby.
He elaborated that their long-distance relationship raises concerns about potential involvement with other partners on her part.
A man has revealed that he’s experiencing conflict with his partner in their Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM) relationship.
An ENM, or Ethical Non-Monogamy, signifies that the relationship isn’t strictly monogamous, with both individuals consenting to engage with multiple partners.
His partner works on a large construction project away from him, returning home for one week after two weeks of work.
“Since there are more men than women, she has no trouble finding partners,” he explained.
However, things took a downturn recently when she informed him of her pregnancy.
The man wants to move out of their house. Despite their efforts to be cautious and use protection, he acknowledges that it’s not foolproof.
While he welcomed the news of the pregnancy, he’s concerned that, given their relationship dynamics, he might not be the baby’s father.
“I’m thrilled about the baby and starting a family, but I’m not interested in financially supporting someone else’s child,” he expressed.
Hence, he requested a paternity test to confirm his biological relationship to the baby, but his partner declined.
Consequently, he insists that without evidence, he won’t be listed on the baby’s birth certificate and plans to move out to avoid being seen as the child’s parent.
