Kenya Power Announces Scheduled Power Interruptions in Seven Counties
Kenya Power has announced planned power interruptions in various areas across the country on Tuesday to facilitate system maintenance.
The outages will affect parts of Nairobi, Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, Kisumu, Kirinyaga, and Kiambu counties at different times between 9 AM and 6 PM.
Affected Areas
Nairobi (9 AM – 5 PM)
Power will be interrupted in parts of Nairobi, including:
- South B area: Kenya Water Institute, Akiba East, Akiba Court 3, Five Star East, Tabsera Academy, Memon East, Halai East, Bellevue School, Ruby East, Midlands Court East, Bandari Villas, St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic, Masjid Bukhari Mosque, Soledo Springs East, Tepro Homes, Manifest Estate, Sifa Springs East, Missionary School, Manifest Apartments, and Nairobi Water.
- Westlands area: State House Girls High School, Arboretum Road, Kolobot Road, Part of Ring Road, Riverside Gardens, Part of Riverside Drive, Prime Bank, SBM Bank, UoN Chiromo Campus, Dusit, Chiromo Funeral Parlour, ICEA Lions on Waiyaki Way, and surrounding areas.
Nandi (9 AM – 6 PM)
- Kapsasur Centre, Kapsasur Dispensary, Kaptabogen, Chebil, and adjacent areas.
- Henry Koskei Secondary, Kibukwo, Maraba, Taachasis, Meteitei, Tindiret, Mbogo Valley, Soba River, and surrounding locations.
Elgeyo Marakwet (9 AM – 5 PM)
- Kipsetan, Chesubet, Kamoi, Kibuga Centre, Kimwarer, Muskut, Sego, and adjacent customers.
Trans Nzoia (9 AM – 5 PM)
- Kaplamai Market, Motosiet, Sinoko, Cheptil, Kachibora, Kiptoi, Kapcherop State Lodge, Kamendi, Kipkeikei, Kapkarwa, Osorongai, Yuya, and surrounding areas.
Kisumu (9 AM – 5 PM)
- Arina East, Usotho, MTC Staff Houses, Obama East, Kibuye Market, and adjacent customers.
Kirinyaga (9 AM – 5 PM)
- Makutano, Makawani Polytechnic, Kamweli Water Pump, Pat N Sons-Crusher, PI Market, Kikumini, Gitaraka, Wachoro Dispensary, Sweetcorn Millers, Kirwara Chinese Camp, Munyaka, Kiamanyeki, Mikimaini Borehole, Mwaniki Residence, Gathigiriri Prison, Mithuthini, Migingo, Bambainit, and surrounding areas.
Kiambu (9 AM – 5 PM)
- Gachoroba, Zaweni, Kamondo Secondary, Mutuya, Nyagoti, Githiga, Gatitu, Gathaithi, Munjeme, Kiamachani, Kiaibabu, and adjacent areas.
Kenya Power urges affected customers to plan accordingly and apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the scheduled maintenance.
