Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua shared his joy on social media as he returned to his hometown in Nyeri County after weeks of contesting his removal from office.

Though his efforts to prevent the swearing-in of his successor, Kithiki Kindure, were unsuccessful, Gachagua expressed relief and gratitude at being back home with his family.

“Home Sweet Home! Thanking God for the gift of my family. The smell of fresh grass and sounds of chirping birds is what a happy family needs,” he posted.


Cherishing the Simple Pleasures of Home

In his post, Gachagua was seen with his wife, Dorcas, and their sons. He conveyed his deep gratitude for his family’s support, adding that being home brought a special sense of peace.

“I can’t wait for the morning to take my walk in Hombe Forest and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt. Kenya as I thank God for His kindness.”
