Award-winning comedian Eric Omondi has resolved the Sh126,000 debt he owed Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.
In a viral video, Omondi can be seen carefully counting and handing over the money to Kuria, following their previous clash over Omondi’s criticism of Kuria despite receiving funding for his trip to the US from him.
The silent video, set to the soundtrack “Sina Deni” by Gospel Fathers, features Omondi confirming in the caption that he has repaid Kuria the full amount. This move aims to avoid any further embarrassment from their public feud.
Reactions to the video varied, with some accusing Omondi of clout-chasing to boost his social media presence, given his history of dramatic antics.
Additionally, doubts have been raised about the sincerity of Omondi’s philanthropic endeavors, such as the Sisi kwa Sisi initiative, with speculation about whether it’s merely a strategy to gain support for a political bid in the 2027 elections.
However, Omondi maintains that his actions stem from genuine kindness and compassion.
Despite criticism, supporters encourage him to move past the issue, emphasizing that Kuria cannot undermine Omondi’s success.
