Main Suspect in Kware Massacre Still on the Run
Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the main suspect in the Kware massacre involving the deaths of 42 women, remains at large after escaping police custody over two months ago. Authorities are offering a cash reward for any information leading to his re-arrest.
Suspect’s Escape from Custody

- Location: Gigiri Police Station
- Details: Jumaisi, along with 12 other suspects, managed to escape by cutting the wire mesh in the basking bay area.
Police Appeal for Public Assistance
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has reached out to the public for help in locating Jumaisi. Although the exact cash reward amount remains undisclosed, they are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.

Background on the Kware Massacre
- Suspected Crimes: Jumaisi confessed to the murders of 42 women, including his wife.

Legal Disputes and Claims of Torture
Jumaisi’s lawyer, John Maina Ndegwa, claims the suspect was tortured into confessing. DCI detectives, however, deny these allegations.

“My client has suffered inhuman treatment to coerce a confession. I request urgent medical attention for him as investigations proceed,” Ndegwa stated.
