The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), established under the Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (EMCA) No. 8 of 1999, is looking for talented individuals to join our team.

NEMA is mandated to exercise general supervision and coordination over all matters relating to the environment in Kenya and to be the Principal Instrument of Government in the implementation of all policies relating to the environment.

Compliance/Environment Officer:

As a Compliance/Environment Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that organizations comply with environmental laws and regulations. You will conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and provide advice on environmental compliance.

Environmental Research Officer:

As an Environmental Research Officer, you will conduct research on environmental issues, analyze data, and provide recommendations to support environmental management and policy development.

ICT Officer:

As an ICT Officer, you will be responsible for managing the Authority’s information and communication technology systems. You will provide technical support, maintain hardware and software, and ensure data security.

Corporate Communications Officer:

As a Corporate Communications Officer, you will be responsible for managing the Authority’s communication strategies. You will develop and implement communication plans, manage media relations, and promote the Authority’s image.

Legal Officer:

As a Legal Officer, you will provide legal advice and support to the Authority. You will draft legal documents, represent the Authority in legal proceedings, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Supply Chain Management Officer:

As a Supply Chain Management Officer, you will be responsible for managing the Authority’s supply chain activities. You will oversee procurement processes, manage contracts, and ensure efficient inventory management.

Strategy & Planning Officer:

As a Strategy & Planning Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Authority’s strategic plans. You will conduct research, analyze data, and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Supply Chain Management Assistant:

As a Supply Chain Management Assistant, you will provide support to the Supply Chain Management Officer. You will assist in procurement processes, inventory management, and contract administration.

Environment Assistant:

As an Environment Assistant, you will provide support in environmental management activities. You will assist in data collection, fieldwork, and report writing.

CS/Director Legal Services:

As the CS/Director Legal Services, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Legal Services Department. You will ensure legal compliance, manage legal risks, and represent the Authority in legal matters.

Deputy Director Internal Audit:

As the Deputy Director Internal Audit, you will be responsible for overseeing the Authority’s internal audit function. You will conduct audits, assess internal controls, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Senior Principal Internal Audit:

As a Senior Principal Internal Audit, you will be responsible for leading complex audit assignments. You will assess risks, develop audit plans, and provide recommendations to improve internal controls and governance.

Senior Principal ICT Officer:

As a Senior Principal ICT Officer, you will be responsible for managing the Authority’s ICT systems. You will oversee ICT projects, ensure data security, and provide technical support to staff.
