Ann Adhiambo Okwako of Alego Usonga constituency, who is living with disability, is the latest widow to benefit from PS Omollo’s Widows Empowerment Programme.

Adhiambo’s story touched the Widows Empowerment team during last month’s visit to Siaya. According to Victor Ayugi, the programmes coordinator, the 67-year-old widow had lost two houses to fire, and her fellow widows of the Kalkada Moyie widows group helped her construct a tiny house.

Adhiambo was living in a one-roomed house which was in a bad condition untill after meeting the Widows Empowerment team, who changed her life. Siaya widow praises PS Omollo On Saturday, April 27, PS Omollo’s Widows Empowerment Programme led by Ayugi gifted Adhiambo a new house and she could not hide her joy.

The PS is passionate about helping the needy, and he has been helping widows, orphans and the elderly. “We are planning to extend our hand of compassion to needy people in different parts of the country,” Ayugi said.
