Rigathi Gachagua Thanks Embu Crowd After Snub at High-Profile Event
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua expressed gratitude to the people of Embu after receiving a warm reception during the Episcopal ordination of Rt. Rev. Peter Kimani as Bishop of Embu Diocese on Saturday, November 16.
Despite the warm cheers from the public, Gachagua faced notable snubs at the event.
He was seated apart from other top dignitaries, including President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, with no interactions between him and the Head of State.
Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire also skipped Gachagua when inviting leaders to address the crowd, fulfilling his earlier remark about staying silent when wronged.
On social media, Gachagua shared a heartfelt message:
“Thank you so much the people of Embu for the love and warm reception. I love you too,” Gachagua declared on Saturday evening while sharing a video of the thunderous applause he received during the event.
Meanwhile, President Ruto focused his speech on national issues like Universal Health Coverage, but his remarks were met with mixed reactions from the audience.
