Parliament has announced the locations across the country where public participation will be held for the motion to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The discussions are scheduled to begin on Friday, October 3, 2024, following a directive from National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, who instructed the clerk to publish a list of venues across all 47 counties for the debates.
In Mombasa County, the discussions will be held at Tononoka Grounds, while in Taita-Taveta, they will take place at Mwatate CDF Hall.
In Kwale County, the forum will be at the Kwale Cultural Centre, and in Kilifi, it will occur at the Coast Development Authority Hall in Kilifi Town.
In Garissa County, discussions will be held at Hola County Hall, and in Lamu, the venue will be the KCB Hall.
Wajir ICT Hall will host the public participation discussions in Wajir County, while Garissa County’s talks will be held at the Government Guest Building.
In Mandera, the public will gather at Mandera Social Hall, and in Marsabit, the discussions will take place at Catholic Hall.
Meru County will hold its talks at Kamende Hall, with Isiolo hosting at Catholic Diocese Hall.
For Tharaka-Nithi County, the debates will be at Katwana County Hall
Embu County’s discussions will be at IFAD Hall.
In Kitui County, the talks will be held at Kitui Multi-Purpose Hall,
In Machakos, they will take place at Machakos Social Hall. Wote Green Park Gardens will serve as the venue for Makueni County discussions, while Nyandarua County will host talks at Ol Kalou’s CDF Hall.
In Nyeri County, the public will participate at Nyeri Cultural Hall, while Kirinyaga Central CDF Hall will be the venue for Kirinyaga County discussions.
Murang’a University Teaching Hall will host the talks in Murang’a, with Kiambu’s discussions set to take place at Kiambu Social Hall.
Turkana University will be the venue for Turkana County talks, while West Pokot will hold its discussions at County Hall in Kapenguria.
Maralal Vocational Hall will host Samburu County discussions, and Kitale Museum will serve as the venue for Trans-Nzoia County.
In Uasin Gishu, talks will be held at County Hall, Eldoret, while Elgeyo Marakwet will gather at KMTC Iten Grounds.
Nandi County’s discussions will be hosted at the Eliud Kipchoge Complex, while Busia will hold theirs at the County Hall.
Bungoma County will hold public participation at Red Cross Hall, and in Vihiga, the venue will be Praise Centre Church.
Baringo Rehab Centre will host talks in Baringo County, while Laikipia discussions will be held at Nanyuki NGCDF Hall.
In Nakuru County, talks will be held at Kenya Red Cross Hall, with Narok Youth Centre hosting the discussions in Narok County.
Maasai Technical Institute Hall will be the venue for public participation in Kajiado County.
Kericho County’s talks will be hosted at ACK Church Hall, while Bomet County will hold theirs at St. Bhakita Youth Training Hall.
Magharibi Hall will be the venue for public participation in Kakamega County, while Siaya Technical Institute will host discussions in Siaya County.
In Kisumu, the talks will be held at Tom Mboya Labour College, and Homa Bay County will host its discussions at the Homa Bay Stadium. Migori County’s public participation will take place at Migori TTC.
In Kisii County, the Agricultural Training College will serve as the venue, while Nyamira County will hold its debates at the West Mugirango NGCDF Hall.
Nairobi County will host public participation across its 17 constituencies at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
