Activist Morara Kebaso Attacked During Public Participation at Bomas, Sparks Chaos

In a post on Saturday, Morara Kebaso announced he would be refunding the contributions raised by Kenyans. He concluded that there has not been sufficient action to bring about meaningful change in the country’s governance.

The activist emphasized that he would not let his reputation be tarnished or be labeled a conman or beggar. He stated he was proud of his genuine efforts to drive positive change in Kenya.

” I cannot continue to dirtify my reputation and earn the tag of a conman or beggar. It’s not worth it. For this reason, I would like to refund any Kenyan that has supported me and felt conned”, statement read.

“Please comment below with the Mpesa message. I will check if its real, refund you in full with a top up for withdrawal then I will copy paste my refund message below your comment. Nataka tumalizane kwa uzuri niende nipumzike,” he added

He further revealed that he will be stepping back from his pursuit of a better Kenya.

“But a time comes when a man must decide whether the nation is worth struggling for. My observation is that most Kenyans have already decided the country they want to live in”, continued Morara.

Morara had initially sought to raise between Ksh840,000 and Ksh1.2 million to acquire and install a state-of-the-art PA system. To his surprise, he received overwhelming support, with contributions flooding into his mobile account, which has a limit of Ksh500,000.

In addition to the funds, Kebaso was also gifted a luxurious house and a car. The house, located in Kahawa Sukari, Nairobi County, was intended to serve as his office headquarters and the base for his operations.
