Social media influencer Scophine Aoko Otieno, widely known as Maverick Aoko, has broken her silence after being found at the Kenya-Tanzania border following a mysterious disappearance.
Aoko’s whereabouts were confirmed by her aide on Friday, November 1, nearly ten days after her last activity on social media on October 22.
Her family received a call from a hospital at the border, where she had been taken by an unidentified individual who reportedly found her outside their gate.

Despite her discovery, no photos or videos were released at the time, leaving Aoko silent for another week.
On Friday, November 8, Aoko addressed her followers directly for the first time since her ordeal, reassuring Kenyans that she is safe and well. She explained that the individual posting updates on her account had her full consent, as well as her family’s.
