Kenya Power: Prepaid token system will be unavailable from Sunday to Monday

Kenya Power (KPLC) Announces Power Outages in Several Counties on Tuesday

Kenya Power is advising its customers who utilize the token facility to ensure they top up their accounts ahead of an upcoming maintenance activity.

In an official statement, Kenya Power informed its clientele about an impending interruption in the prepaid system to facilitate system upgrades.

“We would like to notify our valued customers that the prepaid token vending system will be temporarily unavailable from 10 pm on Sunday, June 2nd, until 10 pm on Monday, June 3rd, to allow for necessary system enhancements aimed at improving service delivery.”

The statement further noted, “During this maintenance period, customers will not be able to purchase electricity tokens through any vending points, including Kenya Power offices, MPESA paybill number 888880, Airtel Money, and banking channels.”

“We strongly advise our prepaid customers to ensure they have purchased an adequate supply of tokens prior to this maintenance window to prevent any inconvenience.”

“We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period,” concluded the alert.
