Kenya Power Announces Scheduled Power Outage Today Tuesday

Kenya Power Announces Tuesday Blackout in Multiple Counties from 8 AM to 5 PM

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has issued a notice detailing counties that will experience a planned power outage on Tuesday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Affected Areas:

  • Nairobi County:
    • Mathare Area 1: Drive Inn Primary School, Shell Petrol Station, Naivas Supermarket, Allsops, GSU Headquarters, Qwetu Apartments, Zaken, CPC Kenya Ltd, Safaricom Data Centre, and nearby customers.
    • Njiru Area: Njiru Town, Kirima Slaughterhouse, Njiru Primary School, and adjacent areas.
    • South C Area: Muhoho Road, Rubis Petrol Station, Heshima Court, Mtelo Road, Muhuti Road, Oleshapala Road, Reliance Hospital, KEWI, Uchumi Road, Akiba Estate, Mfulu Avenue, Jombo Road, and surrounding areas.

  • Kajiado County:
    • Nazarene, Matasia (Kandisi), SGR Terminal, Balozi, Metropolitan, Rangau, Symurina, and neighboring areas.
  • Elgeyo Marakwet County:
    • Kipsoen, Kapteren, Kaptrakwa Hospital, Kapkenda, Chepkorio Market, Choroget, Lelboinet, Chepkosom Dam, and parts of KCC.
  • Bungoma County:
    • Bukembe, Machakha, Ben Captain, Wamang’oli, Matisi, Sirisia, Malakisi, Mayanja, Chekulo, Khachonge, Nzoia Sugar, and surrounding areas.
  • Nyeri County:
    • Ihururu, Mathari Hospital, Kamweja Teachers College, Nyewasco, KBC, Nyeri High School, Kihuyo, and nearby regions.
  • Kirinyaga County:
    • Wanguru, Gathigiriri, Lainisha Sacco, Budget, Mwarico Rice Mill, Wanguru Girls Secondary, NIB, Mwea Sub-county offices, Wanguru Police Station, and adjacent areas.
  • Embu County:
    • Kivaa, Masaku, Ngetani, Kivaa Market, Kengen Hydro Plaza, Kitui Water & Sanitation, Kyaani Primary School, and nearby regions.
  • Kiambu County:
    • Ondiri, Lusigithi, Conix Industries, Mai-lhii, Kahero, Nachu, Karai, Wanyee Road, Kiambaa, Zambezi, Kahuho, Ngecha, Muguga, and surrounding areas.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to prepare accordingly for the power disruption.
