He spoke to the media on Sunday, October 20, outside the hospital and made serious claims about his safety and treatment by President William Ruto.
Claims of Security Withdrawal
- Gachagua accused President William Ruto of ordering the withdrawal of his security detail.

Hospitalization Incident
Gachagua also talked about the moment he fell ill during his impeachment trial. He said the trouble started with chest pains while he was heading to his office.
- After feeling the pain, he called his doctor, who instructed him to rush to Karen Hospital.
- By the time he arrived, he was in severe pain and had trouble breathing.
