Legendary radio presenter Fred Obachi recently recounted his ordeal of being harassed by individuals from Generation Z.
The host of Roga Roga revealed that Gen Z callers would repeatedly dial his number and abruptly disconnect the call without speaking.
Eventually, when they did speak, they instructed him to urge his niece to intervene in the release of Edgar Obare.
Speaking on Radio Maisha about his experience, Ombachi said, “Gen Z did not treat me kindly. Why are they bothering me?
I was at home watching a game when my phone started ringing. Someone called and hung up. When I tried to call back, another person called me. Soon, I began receiving continuous calls, all ending abruptly.”
He mentioned that some callers were impolite, recalling, “One person answered the call and insulted me, calling me ‘Umbwa wewe’ (you dog). Another caller demanded I help release Edgar. I don’t even know anyone named Edgar.
When I asked who Edgar was, they accused me of pretending not to know that my ‘niece’ had allegedly abducted Edgar Obare.”
Ombachi also shared that he had to search online to find out who Edgar was and tried calling his niece, but to no avail.
“Later, I discovered that my phone number had been shared on X, claiming I am the uncle of Nominated Senator Grace Orwoba.
It’s true I’m her uncle, but it’s also true that I openly opposed the Finance Bill 2024,” he concluded.
