Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has provided an explanation for his absence from President William Ruto’s event in Nyeri.
In a statement, Gachagua clarified that his nonattendance was related to a misunderstanding over a cake that was to be featured at the event.
Gachagua revealed that the disagreement centered on the specifics of the cake’s preparation and presentation. He described the situation as a “cake issue,” which he felt was significant enough to impact his participation. Despite the seemingly minor nature of the dispute, it had a notable effect on his decision to skip the event.
