We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved, June Chebet Moi this morning,” the statement reads. “We ask for your prayers and understanding as we mourn the loss of our sister.
June Chebet, the previous president’s most youthful girl, was embraced quite early in life. Regardless of her dad’s noticeable job (Kenya’s second president from 1978 to 2002), June and her kin liked to avoid the spotlight.
Following her schooling at Nairobi Grade School and Kenya Secondary School, June sought after advanced education in Canada. Momentarily engaged with her dad’s political exercises, she later progressed to a lifelong in land and property improvement.
President Moi, wedded to the late Lena Moi in 1950, had seven different kids: five children (Jonathan, Gideon, Raymond, Philip, and John Imprint) and two little girls (Jennifer Chemutai Kositany and Doris Elizabeth Chepkorir).
