Tanzanian gospel artist Christina Shusho is pursuing legal recourse against Pastor Mbarikiwa Mwakipesile for his disparaging remarks regarding her divorce from her husband, Pastor John Shusho.
Mwakipesile has attributed the separation to Shusho, insinuating that her rising music career led her to leave the marriage.
He went on to ridicule her explanation of a spiritual calling as mere justification.
Shusho has firmly denied these allegations and announced her intention to file a defamation lawsuit against the pastor.
She has enlisted legal representation and is ready to take legal action against anyone spreading false information about her marital situation.
“Those using my image or name to spread lies will face the full force of the law,” Shusho stated.
These recent developments follow Shusho’s earlier disclosure where she stated that she ended her marriage because of a divine calling that compelled her to prioritize her ministry elsewhere.
Let me be open, I have never been fake and I don’t lie. The truth is it’s an assignment. There is nothing different other than that. The assignment God has given me this season cannot allow me to stay where I was. I had to leave to go fulfil the assignment,”Shusho said.
Shusho remains steadfast in her assertion that her separation stems from her obedience to a religious calling, emphasizing that it is not a result of marital difficulties.
